I have not found anything bad.
In my first trial, I requested 10 results for my most important keyword. Of the 10 that I received only 1 has a links page and I have already written to them. Does it help the process of finding link partners? Yes. Is it worth $100? No. But the trial version lets you do a 100 searches for free. Try it, maybe you will have a different opinion.
McAfee sucks the life out of your resources

There are very few negatives. Though I can only speak for the Windows platform, the platform is very stable. I hear there are ads if you don’t donate.

Its all a very basic program with some of the tools included twice just under a different name. There are better programs out there for free and would do a much better job. This is only my opinion.

This software removed some of my chrome extensions, downloaded an extension, and changed my search engine. Not sure what else yet.
about the actual software:
Loud and isn’t friendly to those keys being pressed on.. so you’ll hear “Space” repeatedly.
Some are loud.
Some are really stupid.. such as “I is for Iphone” I believe this was made very quickly so they can start making money on it by adding malware, because who would buy it?
Definitely don’t download this software.
This is just a patch for the software.

Nothing to dislike
Although it will do a backup, be forewarned that it will NOT back up your Autotext if you had an older version of the OS).
Also, it will not sync with Outlook at all, which is pretty frustrating since I use my Outlook contacts and calendars at my desk, and now I have to enter everything twice.
Simple to use
Like the firewall, this causes my 6 year laptop to crash after a complete scan due to a conflict with my outdated screen driver. (My screen driver is updateable.)
When installing fonts stops responding and must be killed. Font viewing and installing interface feels limited for the accessing the several thousand fonts I have.

My computer crashed 3 times. Each time, Ares forced me to buy a new membership and would not recognize payments made for “lifetime” membership. Now, they’ve changed, so that mostly, all you can download is an advertisement, telling you to pay $10/month in order to NOT download advertisements. Their top leadership stinks as they lied about lifetime membership. And, their tech support/customer relations people also stink, as they will not reestablish your “lifetime” membership if something happens and you cannot reconnect to Ares. Instead, they force you to buy the program again and again and again and again. They all stink and their program used to be good, but now it is as worthless as the people running the business. A pox on this program and its managers, staff and employees. Worthless – all of them!

Does not take Hebrew characters, I have contacted the company that produces it and they say that they are working on a Unicode version that will take Hebrew characters.

I have no issues with this software although I wish they would stop constantly updating the program and just provide database updates that would download to the program when started. The way it is, you’ll start the application and it will say you are running an outdated version and you have to go get the newest release.
